This post deals with various aspects of setting and preferences that are likely to occur after installation.

Note:



  • Recovering or changing password is done with your PC.

  • Disabling or enabling the filter is done with the mobile device.


Recovering Password


With your PC:


Try to login to the Admin Console by one of the following ways:



  • Select the URL of the Admin Console that you stored in your Favorites or Bookmarks.

  • Select the URL of the Instruction page that you stored in your Favorites or Bookmarks. Subsequently click the link to the Admin Console.

  • Browse to your filter provider’s website and click the link to the Admin Console.


Instead of entering credentials you hit the ‘Forgot Password’ link.


When you have forgotten your password, you can request for a new password by hitting the ‘Forgot Password’ link. It is communicated to your e-mail address. You are prompted to enter a new password.



NOTE:




The password must


- be alphanumeric


- be 6 to 20 characters in length


- contain at least one numeral, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one digit



Changing Password


Same procedure as Recovering Password.


Disabling or Enabling the Filter


With the mobile device:


Hit the 10th function button of the Comvigo Internet Security browser.


Hit Settings. After entering username and password the modus is switched:


from



  • Enabled (= ‘filter is On’, ‘user of the mobile device is Protected’)


to



  • Disabled (= ‘filter is Off, ‘user of the mobile device is Unprotected’)


or vice versa.

Managing URL Groups


Introduction


Internet is filled with indefinite number of websites. For our convenience, we can categorize them based on their nature of content. These categories are referred as URL Groups. Social Networking, Sports, Entertainment, News are few examples of URL Groups.


You can group the URLs that have something in common and label the group with a name. URL Groups are not limited to ‘official’ categories. You are free to use n URL Group for any group of URLs that from your perspective belong to same subject.


As an Administrator, you can create URL Groups, configure them to users, and maintain them.


Creating URL Groups


The following table lists the steps to create a URL Group.







































StepAction
1With the Admin Console, click the URL Group link on the menu placed in the left-side pane.

Result: The URL Group pane appears and displays the existing groups.


2Click the Add icon on the toolbar.

Result: The Add URL Group window appears.


3Type the URL Group Name and the Description.
4Click the Save button and close the window.

Result: The URL Group is added to the list in the URL Group pane.


5Select the checkbox against the new URL Group and click the View Details icon on the toolbar.

Result: The details pane appears where you can add the URLs for the group.


6Click the Add icon and provide the URL details in the Add List Entry window that appears.
7Click the Save button and close the window.

Result: The URL is added to the list.

Repeat 6 and 7 steps to add more URLs.


Note:




Click Cancel to go back to the URL Group page.




 



 


Editing URL Groups


The following table lists the steps to edit a URL Group.

Result: The URL Group pane appears and displays the existing groups.


2Select the checkbox against the URL group you wish to edit and click the View Details icon on the toolbar.

Result: The details pane appears where you can add, delete and edit the URLs of the URL group.

 1) Click the Add icon.

2) The Add List entry window appears.


3) Provide the URL details and click the Save button in this window.


4) Close the window.


5) The URL is added to the list.



To Delete a URL

 


1) Select a URL from the list.

2) Click the Delete icon.


3) The URL is deleted from the list.
